Rio Ferdinand: "No one can replace Ferguson !"

Sir Alex Ferguson has been at the head of Manchester United for almost 25 years, becoming the most decorated manager in the history of the game, as well as the most respected coach.

The latest of his achievements was claiming the 19th title which means that The Red Devils are now the undisputed kings of Europe after "knocking Liverpool off their f****** perch".

Newspapers, fans, players and other managers have been speculating for years as to when will the Legendary manager retire and who will face the tough task of replacing him.

Speaking to the Jakarta Globe while on an Asian tour in Indonesia , the English defender Rio Ferdinand made his opinion clear regarding this subject:

"I don't see the club without the boss," he told the Jakarta Globe.
"I like how the manager works and we enjoy being with him.
"I hope he can stay longer than all of us."
"It's difficult to imagine United without Ferguson. I think being the manager of Manchester United is the hardest job in the world."
"You could say this man or that man, but when they get there they may crumble or fail. It's hard to say."

Sneijder is wanted by Manchester United !

Manchester United are said to be ready to offer the Dutch player £200k per week to secure his services.

Sir Alex Ferguson is looking for a replacement for United legend Paul Scholes who retired at the end of last season and the InterMilan midfielder is considered as an important candidate for this position, along with Tottenham's Luka Modric and Arsenal's Samir Nasri.

It is important to note that Manchester United have already spent more than £50m this summer after securing deals for Phil Jones, Ashley Young and finally David De Gea.

Rivals Manchester City are also interested in Sneijder and ready to offer more money than United, but the Netherland's maestro apparently prefers the "Red Devils"

Finally ! De Gea undergoes Medical Exam to complete £18m deal!

United fans can finally take a breath !! Van Der Sar's successor is secured!

After months of speculation De Gea has finally completed his medical tests at Bridgewater Hospital ahead of his transfer to Old Trafford, a deal that would see Sir Alex Ferguson's summer spending past the £50m mark.

This transfer comes after the transfer of Phil Jones from Blackburn and Ashley Young from Aston Villa earlier this summer.

Manchester United tried to keep the exam a secret with two three men holding a white blanket as an attempt to conceal the player's identity while he came off his luxurious Audi car.

Nani not worried about Young signing

Nani dismissed all what is being said in the media about him being worried or wanting an exit from Old Trafford following Ashley Young's signing last week. On the contrary, Nani welcomed the additional competition insisting it would help United secure more trophies in the future.
Speaking to Skysports the 24 years old Portuguese stated:
"Of course I have to welcome everyone they sign, I think Man Utd is a fantastic club"
"When they bring in new players, they know if it is good for the team or not, and this (Young signing) has to help them.It is good for the team, we want more players to help us to win trophies."

"I've been there at United when Cristiano was there, Cristiano was one of the best players in the world. At that moment I had no worries about him taking my place."

Manchester United to submit a £20m bid to sign Samir Nasri from Arsenal

Manchester United are reportedly going to lodge a £20 (€22.5) million bid this week to acquire the services of Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri.

The 23-year-old is thought to have been offered a five-year contract by the Gunners after his top quality showings last season. But he is yet to put pen to paper and confirm his stay at Ashburton Grove, with speculation abounding that his reluctance to commit reflects Arsenal's trophy drought and uncertainty about manager Arsene Wenger's transfer activity.

In the meantime, the midfielder has been linked with a controversial move to the Red Devils, who are fresh from becoming the most successful club in English football after surpassing Liverpool when they won their 19th league title last season.

Now The News of the World reports that United will make a £20m (€22.5m) move to sign the Frenchman this week.

Arsenal are believed to be anxious not to repeat the mistake they made with Mathieu Flamini - who left on a Bosman free transfer to join AC Milan in 2008 - with Nasri currently having only one year left on his contract with the club.
